Information We Collect
BetReset does not require you to create an account to use the subscription screen. Recovery-related content you enter or create in the app is intended to stay on your device unless a future version clearly tells you otherwise.
If you purchase BetReset Pro, Apple and our subscription management provider, RevenueCat, may process information needed to provide subscriptions, restore purchases, verify entitlements, prevent fraud, and keep the app functioning correctly. This may include:
- User or app-specific identifiers
- Device identifiers
- Purchase history and subscription status
- Basic app and device information needed for purchase validation and app functionality
BetReset also uses privacy-conscious product analytics through PostHog EU Cloud. These analytics help us understand where users drop off during onboarding, which features are used, and whether subscription screens are working correctly. Analytics events are limited to coarse product usage information, such as:
- Which onboarding screen was viewed, using a step name and step number
- Whether a Screen Time permission request was granted or not
- Whether broad features were used, such as check-ins, urge pauses, temporary unlocks, panic lock, setback logging, guided recovery, blocking setup, and paywall views
- Whether a subscription purchase or restore completed successfully
- Basic app state such as whether onboarding has been completed or whether the app believes a user has an active Pro entitlement
BetReset does not send PostHog your written notes, urge reflections, reason for quitting, gambling spend amounts, money lost, selected betting app names, blocked website domains, trigger labels, mood labels, or the contents of recovery plans.
Payment Information
Payments are handled through Apple In-App Purchase. We do not receive or store your payment card number, bank account information, or Apple ID password.
How Information Is Used
Information may be used to:
- Unlock and manage BetReset Pro features
- Restore purchases
- Verify subscription status
- Maintain app functionality, reliability, and security
- Understand onboarding drop-off, feature usage, and subscription conversion using anonymous product analytics
- Provide customer support if you contact us
Tracking and Advertising
BetReset does not show third-party advertising and does not use identifiers for tracking users across other companies' apps or websites.
Third-Party Services
BetReset may use Apple services and RevenueCat to process in-app purchases and subscription entitlements. BetReset may also use PostHog EU Cloud for anonymous product analytics. These providers process information according to their own privacy policies and legal obligations.
Health and Recovery Information
BetReset may include features related to gambling urges, recovery planning, and self-control. The app is not a medical device and does not provide diagnosis, treatment, therapy, financial advice, or crisis support.
Data Retention
Purchase and subscription records may be retained by Apple and RevenueCat for as long as needed to provide subscription functionality, comply with legal obligations, prevent fraud, resolve disputes, and support restore purchases.
Product analytics records may be retained by PostHog for as long as needed to provide analytics, maintain reliability, detect abuse, and improve BetReset, unless deleted earlier according to PostHog settings or legal requirements.
Your Choices
- You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID subscription settings.
- You can delete the app from your device at any time.
- You can contact us with privacy questions or support requests.
Children
BetReset is intended for users who are old enough to use gambling recovery and wellbeing tools appropriately. It is not directed at young children.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
